Next scripting tutorial available!

Following last week's scripting tutorials on user created portals, we've just published a new tutorial covering MTA Snow.

The tutorial shows you how to create special entities, how to make them look and fall like snow.. with some imagination of course.

Head over to the Tutorials section to see!

I'm sorry to say this, but snow isn't really related to san andreas and I hope this didn't take much time to script, because I think it's useless and a waste of energy to script such trivialities at this stage...I could imagine the previous script being useful and all with warping, but this...NOOO way

How is this script "useless"? As yankefan said, this could be used for Liberty City maps and to set the mood of Christmas!
And not all scripts need to have a use, they only need to be fun!!
So this was not a "waste of energy".

it shows what u could do, it doesnt have to be snow, u could use it to do object manipulation instead of markers

Btw, christmas is over.
Ok Ok, ur scripts are wonderful.
But please, PLEASE release MTA SA finally, doesnt matter the stage, we NOW have 2007, the wait starts really to suck... And, the new Website is cool, but i dont like the fact that u removed the dev blog site, and the "news site" is lame at this point, and no alternate to it. I want to see this stuff released instead of any more screenshots and videos, showing other players having fun. I have waited for so long without complaining, but now its enough !

destroying flakes

I'm not familiar with Lua in particular, but my experience in programming tells me that destroying and recreating the snowflakes every time they "fall" would create an unnecessary overhead. Instead, the flake should simply be moved back to a new spot above the player when it hits the ground.
